For some women, a campervan isn’t a holiday.
🚐💛 For some women, a campervan isn’t a holiday. It’s the only home they have.
When I started Ladies Campervan Club, I imagined a community of women enjoying trips, making friends and finding freedom on the road.
But behind the beautiful sunsets and happy van-life videos, there is another reality.
Women are contacting me through our group and TikTok because they feel unsafe. Some cannot afford to heat their vans, pay essential bills or even buy food. For some, living in a van isn’t the adventure they chose — it’s the alternative to sleeping on the streets.
These women are part of our community. They deserve warmth, food, safety and somewhere to turn without feeling ashamed to ask for help.
I don’t have the spare money to support them myself, much as I wish I did. So I’ve set up a Buy Me a Coffee fundraising page to raise money towards food, heating and other essential needs for women in our campervan community who are struggling.
If you can afford to donate, even the price of a coffee could help. Please only give what you comfortably can.
If you can’t donate, sharing this appeal is another way to help it reach someone who can.
I never expected this to become part of running the club, but now that women are reaching out, I want to do what I can — with your help.

You don’t have to manage a difficult night on your own.
If you’re a lady in need, this is a place to reach out. Gemma’s fundraiser helps women in our campervan community who are struggling, with donations going towards food, heating and other essential needs.
Somewhere to stop for the night
If you need somewhere to park overnight, Gemma can help look for another lady in the community who may be able to offer her driveway for the night. Introductions and arrangements can be made privately.
Help with urgent essential costs
If you’re facing immediate emergency costs, such as food or heating, tell Gemma what’s happening. She can talk through what you need and see what help is possible through the fundraiser.
Gemma will do what she can, depending on the donations and offers of help available. You can ask privately, without having to explain your situation in a community thread.

How Ladies Campervan Club protects member information, keeps private spaces private, and supports safer travel for women in the campervan community.
What LCC collects
We collect the details needed to manage membership safely, including application information, contact details, broad area, campervan interests, membership status, payment status and content you choose to share.
Verification evidence
Selfie and photo ID evidence is used only for membership verification. Access is restricted to authorised LCC reviewers and kept only for as long as it is genuinely needed.
Member visibility
Members can use a nickname in community areas. Legal names and identity evidence are for LCC verification and are not shown as ordinary member profile details.
Member areas
Private events, maps, community posts, saved items, attendee lists and help guides are for verified active members only and must not be shared outside LCC.
Location safety
The website shows places and events, not live member locations. Members stay in control of personal travel plans, meet-up arrangements and private contact details.
GDPR rights
Members can request access, correction or deletion of their personal data where legally possible. Identity, safety and financial records may need limited retention.
Retention guide
Keep account and payment records while membership is active. Keep rejected application records only as long as needed for safeguarding, disputes or legal requirements.
Security controls
LCC uses secure sign-in, encrypted connections, role-based access, protected uploads and careful access controls to reduce the risk of member information being misused.
Cookies and analytics
Use essential cookies for sign-in. Any analytics, marketing pixels or third-party embeds should be listed here before launch with opt-in where required.
Contact and escalation
Members should be able to contact LCC about privacy, safety, account access, content removal, reports and verification appeals.

Membership applications are reviewed before access is granted. Reviews and recommendations help members make their own plans; please confirm venue arrangements directly before travelling.

What does membership cost?
£4 per month or £39 per year.
Both include the same benefits. Annual membership saves £9 compared with 12 monthly payments. Monthly renews monthly; annual renews yearly.
When can I pay?
Apply first. Once your application has been reviewed and approved, LCC sends your private payment invitation. Payment confirmation comes from Stripe.
Does my existing price change?
No existing subscription is automatically repriced. Use Manage billing for a linked subscription or contact LCC about your current arrangement.
What do the new Places filters mean?
Avoid the Fireworks! requires a verified on-site ban. It cannot guarantee silence on neighbouring land. Sensory Friendly includes confirmed and potentially suitable places, with the evidence and limitations shown separately.
Is my location public?
The Places map shows venues, not live member whereabouts. Avoid posting private addresses or travel plans publicly.
